Piepacker is a social cloud gaming platform. It enhances your experience when playing multiplayer retro games and makes it easier to virtually hang out and play games with friends. It's not limited to people who identify as gamers - it's a space for anyone looking for a place to chat, hang out, and play games. This project is a part of Y combinator 2020.

For this project, I'm one of the two design team founding members. I drove UX execution and experience alignment across the product. My main contribution is creating the user-centric product vision and driving alignment across the team through user journeys, information architecture, the E2E user flow, and design systems.

Learnings & reflection
  • How to manage ambiguity, gather data, and navigate the product through very limited resources.

  • Execution in start up are really different from big-tech company. Monitization and return of investment need to be seen really quick because company survival might depends on that. We as a designer have to help connect the dots between ideal users experience and monitization.

  • How to work, collaborate, and manage multi-country team in 4 different timezones efficiently. We are the team of 50 people in 4 different continents. We had to operate autonomously and collaboratively: finding ways to accomplish more by enablings others.
